The Wineyard was founded in 1945 and it still keeps its family tradition as it was set up by the grandparents of the present owners. Sixty years after the society was settled down, Barbara and Jaume Mesquida Mora, fourth wine producers{ generation, took up the challenge of going on with their family business. Their father, Jaume Mesquida oliver, gave the Wineyard a turn to modernization and technology to Mallorca{s wine production. Thus he followed his ancestors{ advice so as to become the innovators in the wine industry on the Baleares islands. He will always be remembered for he was the first producer of sparkling wine on Mallorca, the first sweet wine to be produced from noble rotten vine and the first mono-varietal wines to be produced by the end of the 1970{s.
