Miquel Oliver owns 12 hectares of vine the Municipality of Petra. These vines characterized by Mediterranean weather are strategically located. The soil, which is gravel and sandy in texture, is ideal for wine production. "Ses Ferritges" is the name as a result of the reddish colour and characteristics of the land, mainly composed by Iron oxide. This ground is low in organic matter, thus it restrains the yield in a natural way. Native varieties of grapes are used in the production of wines: Callet, Fogoneu and Manto Negro and the white variety Premsal. Also, they produce wines from foreign grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Ull de Llebre, Syrah, Muscatel and Macabeu.
