This region has Mediterranean weather with an average temperature of 17 ºC characterized by mild cold winters and hot dry summers. The closeness of these lands to the sea constitutes an important characteristic and has great influence in the quality of the vines and final production. The average range fall varies from 400 to 500 mms per year. Solar radiation values are usually higher than 2800 hours a year.
The ground is formed by calcareous rocks then the characteristics of the soil are clay-calcareous in different tones of red or white, being the ph a bit alkaline. These characteristics allow good drainage which together with lack or shortage of organic matter and the easiness for roots to penetrate the ground make vine growing in excellent / very good conditions.
