Pla i Llevant as a name originated in the year 1999. Nowadays, Pla i Llevant Regulations have been adapted to the latest norms and at present, it has been under the order of agriculture and fishing counselling since April 9th, 2005 and thus the Regulations de la Denominació d'Origen Pla i Llevant are passed, regulating Council and its control Board.

     The aim of the regulating council is to put its rules into practice so as to fulfill the Regulations and the Quality Handbook; also, to ensure its fulfillment.
